Clinic with judge Evelyne Orel

The goal of the clinic is to help riders of all levels demistify and understand show scores.

During the clinic each Cavalier will perform a round with the judge. Following the recovery Evelyne will help the rider to improve his score by working with him. Then the rider will perform again with the new elements to improve. We will have a scribe with the judge and we will calculate the scores as we go. This exercise can be extremely beneficial for all riders who plan to compete!

Here is a little Bio of our guest judge;

I have been riding since the age of 9, my first "serious" experiences having been the pony club and the hunting ring. I became an avid eventing enthusiast for several years once I got my own horse. This is where I discovered the importance of these three phases! Recognizing that my strength was geared towards dressage, my horse and I progressed and actively participated in competitions for several years, achieving good results up to St George's Prize level (with my old cross-country horse!) And passing intermediate level tests before I retire. My mentors encouraged me to continue my education at the higher levels and I ended up finding my place as both a coach and a judge for well over 20 years. I judge dressage and combination events every year and am especially excited to help eventing horses! In recent years, the concept of "testing clinics" has become popular and I am delighted to have been invited to participate frequently in the preparation for the competition season. I look forward to every rider and every combination of horses, at all levels!
